"There is an ancient tribal proverb I once heard in India. It says that before we can see properly, we must first shed our tears to clear the way." ~ Libba Bray

We’ve all heard of ShadowWork by now. But…what really is it? Well, this is another one of those questions that doesn’t have just one simple answer. Read on…
In a nutshell, ShadowWork is work that we take on in order to incorporate all aspects of ourselves, the parts of ourselves that one may have repressed over the years. Uncovering why, and how to reassure that part of yourself that it’s OK to come out again.
The benefits of ShadowWork may result in feeling more whole as YOU, improving interactions with others, healing from past trauma and meeting your own needs in healthy ways.
Grab your journal, let’s get started.
The work requires taking a look at what triggers strong emotions (or lack of) in yourself, then looking to your past to determine why. Is there something that was said, done, or that you witnessed that makes you feel this way today?
Confront your thoughts. Is this REALLY how you feel about this issue today? What do these thoughts tell you about your values? How can you live more authentically with YOUR values as you see them today? And work on making those changes to make your life the way you need it to be.
There is no one way to complete ShadowWork.
Many work it out themselves.
Many enlist the help of a therapist.
Some may utilize Past Life Regression or NLP sessions.
Many just fill up their journals.
